Community Projects

You might be aware there are groups in Dunsborough and Geraldton working on projects that involve the concept of Virtual Power Plants with members of the community participating. Geraldton Community Energy aims to be an energy retailer generating power from Solar PVs and batteries supplied to households at no cost in exchange for reduced electricity costs. Dunsborough Community Energy Project leases solar and battery systems to householders who can then benefit from the energy generated.

We are working to evaluate offerings such as these for compatibility with our objectives and establish the relative benefits to the community. We will come back to you with our considerations.
